Eligibility: Must be an Oregon Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.
This 6-hour course, approved by the Oregon Board of Dentistry, includes both lecture and clinical instruction. Participants will learn proper techniques for subgingival retraction cord placement using typodonts, followed by an instructor evaluation.
After completing the course, students must document cord placement on a minimum of ten (10) patients under the indirect supervision of a licensed dentist.
