Prerequisites: No prerequisite courses are required, must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED to enroll.
This program includes all necessary materials: a set of scrubs, textbooks, and your first state board exam fees.
The coursework is delivered online, with one in-person training day per week (8 hours) dedicated to hands-on clinical practice.
After completing the course, students are required to participate in a 3-week externship before being eligible to take the Oregon state board exams. Upon passing the exams, you will become a certified Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA).
In our experience, many students are offered employment by their observation or externship sites.
Please note that this is a non-credit program, and at this time, FAFSA or federal financial aid is not available. However, we do offer two flexible payment plan options to help make tuition more manageable.
