Eligibility: Must be an Oregon Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.
This 6-hour course, approved by the Oregon Board of Dentistry, includes lecture, laboratory, and clinical components.
Lab: Hands-on training in the placement of pit and fissure sealants on two permanent molars or premolars.
Clinic: Clinical experience applying sealants on at least two fully erupted molar and premolars, as prescribed by a dentist, with follow-up evaluation.
The course prepares participants to confidently and correctly apply pit and fissure sealants in a clinical setting.
